Earlier this morning, Downdetector said it had logged 2.1+ million reports of connectivity issues globally today, 453K+ of which came from the US. Cloudflare's CTO, Dane Knecht, is blaming "a latent bug in a service underpinning our bot mitigation capability" for today's outage. It "started to crash after a routine configuration change we made," which "cascaded into a broad degradation to our network and other services."
