Ghana’s president has confirmed he will sign a bill that would make it illegal to identify as LGBTQ+ when it is passed by lawmakers, a move that has sparked widespread concern among human rights groups. The “Human Rights and Family Values Bill” was reintroduced in October of this year after being delayed by two Supreme Court challenges. The previous version was passed by Ghana’s lawmakers. The bill would impose up to three years in prison for anyone identifying as LGBTQ+ and up to five years for those accused of “promoting” LGBTQ+ activities. #LGBTQNews #LGBTQRights #LGBTQIA #GhanaNews #Ghana
