“I mean… I could, but why would I want to?” 😌🎈
READ BELOW ⬇️
Yes—I use Elmer’s Rubber Cement, but NOT on every project.
Here’s why most professional balloon artists avoid using glue directly on balloons 🎈🚫:
🧪 Chemical Damage
Many glues contain solvents that break down latex, causing weakened balloons, early oxidation, and faster popping.
💥 Higher Popping Risk
Glue creates tight, uneven pressure points, which can lead to unexpected bursts—especially in heat or humidity.
🔍 Aesthetic Problems
Glue can leave foggy patches, residue, or dull spots, especially on clear or dark balloons—your camera will catch it 👀
✨ My Rule
If proper technique or a 260 can do the job, why glue at all?
It’s a tool, not a solution.
