Prosecutors say he took over $120 million from Malaysian billionaire Jho Low, used straw donors to move the money, and later tried to halt a DOJ investigation into Low. Michel also tampered with witnesses and lied under oath, which prosecutors said showed he “betrayed his country for money.”
