My town was used to film the new hersheys film that’s coming out next year. Production beautified our Main Street that was boarded up and abandoned for a very long time. After filming, they let the town keep the facades but not the props. When it was announced that the borough was looking for donations to restore the props in the storefront windows I jumped at the opportunity. It’s the type of project that I dream of! I sourced, thrifted and made so many elements to keep the spirit of this creation alive. I can’t wait to decorate these windows for the holidays. There is a lot more to be done but it’s nice driving by these windows and being transported into a time of the past.
