Jalen Hill joined the food and nutrition services team at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in March of 2021 and believed his future would take him to culinary school and a career as a chef. However, his experiences and conversations with other team members at the hospital took his career to a new path. Today, Jalen is a medical laboratory technician serving patients in a rural community — a role he never expected but one that makes a meaningful difference every day.
