LIONS RALLY PAST CANYON: The jserrahoops Boys Basketball team finished the Rumble on the Hill Tournament with a perfect 4-0 record, as the Lions rallied past the Canyon Comanches 64-55 on Friday at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton. Juniors Earl Bryson and Godschoice Eboigbodin combined for 13 points in the first quarter to help the Lions forge a 19-15 lead. The Comanches answered back behind a 19-10 scoring advantage in the second period to take a 34-29 lead at halftime. Canyon carried a 51-47 advantage into the fourth quarter, but JSerra’s defense lit the spark for the Lions to rally. JSerra held the Comanches to 1-for-13 shooting from the field in the final eight minutes, outscoring Canyon 17-4 in the process. Bryson finished with a team-high 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Eboigbodin scored seven of his 15 points in the fourth quarter (shooting 7-for-11 from the field) and pulled down seven rebounds.
