LIONS BEAT LEUZINGER: The jserrahoops Boys Basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 69-52 victory over the Leuzinger Olympians at the Rumble on the Hill Tournament (hosted by Sunny Hills High School) on Wednesday at Troy High School in Fullerton. JSerra held a 15-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, but eight points in the second period by senior Jaden Bailes (making his season debut) helped propel the Lions to a 37-25 halftime lead. Bailes’ offensive rhythm extended to behind the three-point line in the third quarter, as he connected on 3-of-4 from deep, sparking the Lions’ to a 54-36 advantage heading into the fourth quarter that they would not relinquish. Bailes finished with a team-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field, including 5-for-10 from beyond the three-point line, and eight rebounds.
