A note from Stew (Pictured with his Mom, Marianne Leonard) What am I doing for Thanksgiving?
This year, I’m having three of my four daughters over and, as a special treat, my mom is going to join us. She’s going to make a pumpkin cheesecake. She used to do celery with cream cheese and walnuts…but no one ate them. She’s abandoned that hors d’oeuvre. Then, I’m having three of my grandchildren over also. Don’t tell anybody, but I have the store cook the entire meal. Since sales are nearly double a normal day, we are busy right up until the closing bell. We will of course have a turkey, and my wife loves the Faroe Islands salmon. I’ll be grilling. My daughter Blake runs the wine business, and she usually brings over some interesting options. We’ll start with a sparkling wine and of course, have Pinot Noir and a French white wine. Nothing fancy. We’ll turn on the football game and enjoy the afternoon! But there’s one family rule at dinner: we’re not allowed to talk about Stew Leonar...
