“They need to get out of here.” That’s the first thing we heard when we went to pick up these babies from our shelter partner, Minneapolis Animal Care and Control. The volunteers and staff there had done everything they could. Bathed them. Cleaned them. Loved them. But… you can only do so much in a shelter. We said yes to these Poodles already knowing that they were part of an animal cruelty case. We still weren’t prepared for what we found when picking them up. What we did find… it broke our hearts 💔 These pups were in a state of neglect. They were matted. They were dirty. They were covered in sores from being so unclean. Their ears were infected. Some had high fevers. Others needed eye or hernia surgeries. They were also fed. Comfortable with people. They wanted to be held. You could tell they were loved.
