We need you! Tomorrow is the final day of COP30. Meaningful progress has been made in recognizing the ocean’s role in our climate future, but now isn’t the time to lose momentum. The ocean is our planet’s greatest climate buffer, absorbing over 90% of excess heat and acting as the world’s largest carbon sink. Yet less than 2% of global climate funding goes toward ocean solutions, even though they could help close the emissions gap by 35% by 2050. If we’re serious about keeping 1.5°C within reach, leaders must recognize this and commit to real, actionable ocean-based solutions. And that only happens if we create a wave of public support.
