🚀 52 students. 13 AI-powered apps. One incredible day of innovation. Last Saturday, we hosted our first-ever Prompt-a-Thon — a full-day design thinking challenge where our students built gen AI solutions for real community problems. In partnership with AIforEducation and Playlab AI, our students worked with ChatGPT and Gemini to tackle everything from food insecurity to transit safety to climate impact. Overall, there three standout projects from our innovators: 🍽️ Snapp – Helps SNAP recipients maximize benefits with budget-friendly, personalized meal plans 🚇 PinButton – Discreet safety alerts for train riders facing harassment 🌍 EcoAI – Tracks AI carbon footprints and gamifies sustainable tech habits This event marks a major milestone in our two-year initiative to integrate responsible AI literacy across all grade levels.
