VENICE MUSEUM: 💯 The Blackburn Building at 303 W. Venice Ave. has seen some modifications over the years. Why is it known as the Blackburn Building? It was built in 1926 for Albert Blackburn, a South County farmer and real estate developer. Additionally, Blackburn held trusted positions with Mrs. Bertha Palmer, Dr. Fred Albee, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Sarasota architect J.C.
