California peach farmers are grappling with uncertainty following Del Monte Foods' bankruptcy filing in July.
Many farmers, who had contracts with the company, are now unsure of what to do with their crops.
Mark Cederlind, a peach farmer in Turlock, expressed some concerns local farmers are having.
"The Del Monte situation has just brought a lot of uncertainty to the industry," Cederlind said "Without contracts, banks aren't willing to loan money for us to get our operating loans to farm for the year."'
Cederlind, whose family has been growing peaches since 1999, explained the financial strain.
