Today (24 November) marks the passing of Freddie Mercury, lead vocalist and pianist of the rock band Queen. He remains regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music. Freddie Mercury gave some insight into his thoughts on death which was revealed in a book of quotes from Mercury published after his passing titled “Freddie Mercury: A Life, In His Own Words”. Mercury died on November 24, 1991, from bronchial pneumonia, a complication of AIDS.
