LIONS DUO ADVANCES AT SECTIONALS: Sophomores Ava Levitanus and Julianna Johnson of the jserra.girlstennis team enjoyed a strong start to the CIF-SS Individual Tennis Championships on Monday by posting three wins at the CIF-SS Individual Sectionals at the Verdieck Tennis Courts on the campus of the University of Redlands. The Lions duo beat the Indio High pair of Arissa Chavez and Jimenna Murillo-Garcia by default to begin the tournament. Next, they defeated Yucaipa’s Peyton Seevers and Aubrey Cano (6-1, 6-0) before knocking off the Los Osos tandem of Ariana Ateia and Jodean Millan (7-5, 6-2). Levitanus and Johnson will now advance to the Round of 32, which will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center on the campus of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont. #lionnation #GoLions #jserragirlstennis
