LIONS FALL TO SIERRA CANYON: The jserrahoops Boys Basketball team fell to defeat for the first time this season, as the Lions were upended by the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers 60-45 at the Trinity-Mission League Challenge on Saturday at Pauley Pavilion on the campus of UCLA. The Lions are now 4-1 on the season. JSerra trailed 20-19 after the first period, but was outscored 11-2 in the second period, and trailed 31-21 at halftime. The Lions chipped away at the lead in the third period and trailed 43-39 with 7:46 remaining in the fourth quarter. But the Trailblazers countered with an 8-0 run to re-take a double-digit advantage and the Lions were unable to mount a comeback. Junior Earl Bryson led the Lions with 19 points.
