Meet Chef Alex — the man who’s been cooking since he was a kid sitting “way too close” to the stove watching his grandpa make breakfast.
With 16 years in professional kitchens — and having cooked for a U.S. President, major league athletes, and celebrities — Chef Alex brings serious culinary know-how to Stew Leonard’s Danbury store.
This is his third Thanksgiving at Stew’s, and he’s fired up for another season of crafting the holiday dishes our customers look forward to year after year.
What keeps him going?
Hearing customers say we made their holiday. After a 15-hour day and 200 sweet potato mousses, that’s what fuels him and the whole team.
On his own Thanksgiving plate: Brussels sprouts, cherry & sage stuffing, cranberry sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, a little ham and turkey…and gravy delivered via funnel or Nerf gun (your choice).
