From Foster Homes to a Team Leader Wimley works in our Norwalk store. What impresses me about him is his triumph over adversity. He grew up in some rough neighborhoods with gangs, drugs, and violence. He came and applied for a job at Stew Leonard’s. Thanks to the strong team around him, they mentored him and kept him focused on his job and family. Wimley has been promoted numerous times and is now a mentor to many of our young Team Members that might be thinking of veering off the track. He was also recognized as “Citizen of the Year” in 2019 by Norwalk Mayor Rilling. Most importantly, he has become a great husband, father and now, grandfather! Wimley has been at Stew’s for 41 years and our customers and Team Members love him.
