Chinese volleyball coach Lang Ping has received the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coaches Lifetime Achievement Award. Nicknamed ‘Iron Hammer’ as a player, Lang won gold at the 1984 Olympics in LA. She then coached China to Olympic silver at Atlanta 1996, the US to silver at Beijing 2008, and China to gold at Rio 2016. Lang’s achievements and recognition are an inspiration for female coaches, who remain strongly underrepresented among elite-level coaches. Cuban wrestling coach Raúl de Jesús Trujillo Díaz was honored in the same ceremony. #china #ioc #olympics #award
