Curling legend and #cbc reporter Colleen Jones has died following a battle with cancer at the age of 65. Colleen was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2016, appointed to the Order of Canada in 2022, was a six-time Canadian women’s champion, and played more Scotties games than any curler in Canadian history. When she signed on to be a reporter for CBC News in 1986, she was the first female sports anchor in Halifax and ended up being a key member of the team for nearly 40 years. Her husband Scott Saunders and sons Zach and Luke announced her death, writing that they were surrounded by family "while looking out on the ocean from her favourite spot in Maders Cove." 🤍 📷 : Getty Images
