Captain EO is a landmark 3D science fiction short film that premiered at Disney theme parks in 1986 and entertained guests through 1998. Starring Michael Jackson and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the project brought together Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm, and Walt Disney Imagineering for one of the earliest four-dimensional theme park experiences. Following Jackson’s passing, the attraction returned to Disney Parks in 2010 as a tribute and remained until its final showing at Epcot on December 6, 2015. The film featured George Lucas as executive producer, with choreography by Jeffrey Hornaday and Michael Jackson, cinematography by Peter Anderson and Vittorio Storaro, and production by Rusty Lemorande.
