From the Cow Missing archives, this video showcases the original StarWay escalator audio program block A that played at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2006. This was part of the park’s signature KUSH radio style broadcast, which entertained guests with movie trivia, Universal sound bites, and safety reminders as they traveled between the Upper Lot, known as the Entertainment Center, and the Lower Lot, known as the Studio Center. Over the years, the program was updated to reflect changes in park attractions and seasonal overlays, including mentions of the E.T. Adventure and special versions created for Halloween Horror Nights. The audio was produced in two-channel mono and played through a 70-volt system powered by more than 60 JBL Control Twenty-Five speakers and a Roland AR-2000 digital announcement recorder.
