UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves has revealed a “mansion tax” in England as part of her Budget.    Four price bands will be introduced, rising from £2,500 for a property valued between £2m to £2.5m, to £7,500 for a property valued at £5m or more.   Reeves said this will be levied on owners and collected alongside council tax.   She says that this new surcharge will raise £400m by 2031 and will be charged on fewer than the top 1% of properties.   Tap the link in BBCNews’s bio to find out how this year’s Budget will impact you.   #UKBudget #BBCNews
