Three-year-old Oliver has become the first person in the world to have a ground-breaking gene therapy for a rare condition.   Hunter syndrome - or MPSII - is inherited and causes progressive damage to the body and brain.   In the most severe cases, patients with the disease usually die before the age of 20.   Prof Simon Jones, who is co-leading the trial told the BBC: “I’ve been waiting 20 years to see a boy like Ollie doing as well as he is, and it’s just so exciting.”   Visit the BBC News website to read more about what the trial could mean for treatment in future.   (📸 Chu family)   #HunterSyndrome #GeneTherapy #BBCNews
