He also founded the ABCD (Academic Betterment and Career Development) Basketball Camp, which was the premier high school basketball event from 1984 to 2006, featuring notable players such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Kevin Garnett, among others. I met Sonny during a newhaven_sic meeting on March 22, 2011, run by Al Carbone and Allen Sack. I stayed after the meeting to introduce myself to Sonny and also capture a photo of all three of them.
