“He left the 99 to find me.”
A survivor recently gifted me a painting with these words written in the upper left hand corner. The painting showed Jesus carrying a little girl in His arms.
The little girl was her.
This young survivor’s artwork depicted her own rescue from years of unimaginable pain and exploitation, often at the hands of those who were supposed to protect her—and reminds us why we fight to reach one more boy or girl in their darkest hour of need.
Leaving the 99 to find the 1 is exactly what Jesus does.
And what He’s called us to do too... To fight for the one more.
Through the generosity of our giving family, this precious girl was found. She was protected. And today—she’s safe, healing, and stepping into the life God created her to live. But as we close out this year, there are still children waiting to be found.
Boys and girls praying, waiting, and hoping that someone will come to rescue them too.
