For the 20th consecutive season, three NFL games will be played on Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving NFL games are a staple of the holiday season, and for the 60th year in a row, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys will each play on the holiday. The wonderful tradition of NFL action on Thanksgiving began back in 1934. With the exception of 1975 and 1977, the Lions and the Cowboys have hosted a Thanksgiving game annually since the Super Bowl era began. Detroit will kick off the Thanksgiving slate and play a divisional matchup at home against the Green Bay Packers. Dallas will host the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes in the late afternoon. The Thanksgiving NFL games will conclude with a massive AFC North clash in prime time, featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow taking on the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson.
