Robyn’s prematurity journey began unexpectedly when she was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Having just graduated from her general surgery residency at Lankenau Medical Center and starting her fellowship, she recognized the signs — severe swelling and high blood pressure — and knew something was wrong. Robyn delivered via C-section at 36 weeks and her baby, Bella, spent time in the NICU, working on gaining weight and learning to eat. Robyn and her husband, Evan, were deeply grateful for the Lankenau team’s compassion, patience and guidance. Today, Bella is thriving.
