The boats are back on Carroll Creek right here in Downtown Frederick! Always happy to see sttwsmd continuing to grow over the years ⛵️ More info for those curious: Sailing Through the Winter Solstice is an installation flotilla of lighted, themed boats set up in Carroll Creek going right through the heart of historic Downtown Frederick, MD, where I live. Starting with only 1 boat the first year almost 10 years ago, there’s now 30 boats this season. Running each winter from November through February, the display is free of charge to go enjoy, with donations and sponsorships benefitting local non-profit organizations, raising over $140k last year alone.
