Happy 4th of July — and “Birthday”, Satchmo! 🇺🇸🎺 Pops used to claim he was born on July 4th, 1900. However, in 1988 his baptismal record was located at New Orleans’ Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and revealed he was actually born on August 4th, 1901!
