All day long, we’re celebrating International Jazz Day by highlighting musicians from across the globe! 🌍🎶 Formed in 1981 in Córdoba, Argentina, the Small Jazz Band is a dedicated ensemble of music educators passionately preserving the sound and spirit of 1920s New Orleans jazz. Inspired by legends like King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, and Jelly Roll Morton, the group has performed across Argentina, Europe, and the United States—including the iconic Satchmo Summerfest and Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Recognized for their cultural contribution and awarded for their musical legacy, they remain one of Latin America's most authentic voices in early jazz tradition.
