On April 29th at 2:00 AM, the Jazz Museum will host a landmark showcase featuring renowned jazz pianist Amaury Faye, performing in New Orleans for the very first time. A rising talent of the French jazz scene, Amaury has performed internationally and garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Berklee Jazz Performance Award in 2015. Having studied under jazz masters such as Joanne Brackeen or Tia Fuller, he continues to refine his artistry and push the boundaries of contemporary jazz.
For this special occasion, Amaury will perform alongside celebrated drummer Herlin Riley and accomplished bassist Lex Warshawsky. Together, they will present a selection of Amaury's original compositions from his upcoming album, which was recently recorded at the historic Marigny Studios with a stellar lineup including Herlin Riley, saxophonist Julian Lee, and bassist Amina Scott.
