I usually post fun college vlogs and student life content, but this is a different and much more personal post. Today marks 4 years since the school shooting I experienced in 2021 when I was a junior in high school. For those who don’t know, I am a survivor of the Oxford High School shooting, where 4 students were killed and 7 others, including a teacher, were injured. It was the worst day of my life, and it’s something I still deal with every single day. On November 30th, a 15 year-old student planned and carried out a mass shooting during passing time. He fired into classrooms and hallways, trying to kill anyone he encountered. I texted my parents a goodbye text and said “I love you” because I genuinely thought it might be the last thing I ever said. The months after were extremely hard.
