One random day, I got a call from Valley Christian High School. I figured they wanted me to come speak to the team about faith and sports (golf and gospel) —but instead, they offered me the head JV golf coaching job. I told them, “I can’t coach no swing!” They laughed and said, “That’s okay, we have a swing coach. We just need someone to encourage the kids in the gospel and course management.” This turned out to be one of the most fun jobs I’ve had since football.
