At Sittin’ Pretty Farm in Viroqua, Wisconsin, Rikhav Thakkar spent the week learning what it means to care for the land and for one another. From prairie restoration to packing fresh food for neighbors across the Driftless Region, every task was rooted in stewardship and solidarity. Rikhav, a junior biochemistry major from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, shared: “I got to see how this small farm community works so hard to fight what seems like an impossible battle — they fight environmental injustice in each action they take.
