In January, April* was facing another unplanned pregnancy. She had chosen abortion before, but did not want to again, knowing it was not an easy experience. With the support of a local pregnancy help center, April chose life and soon after received a full-time job. However, due to the company’s extended merge process, she was temporarily without work for one month. Despite her determined efforts to find temporary work, the options available were not pregnancy-safe. With the father out of the picture, April was not going to make her June rent and phone bill. WRTL connected with April's pregnancy help center and was able to cover her June expenses.
