One step closer to turning this abandoned Main Street in Brownsville PA into a Christmas Wonderland! The biggest hurdle by far was trying to electrify all of these windows. Big thanks to trutonebulbs for donating lights for the majority of these windows. They also filled my mind with wisdom on how to pull this off. So these abandoned buildings have sat vacant for years. We cannot put electricity in them because it is a hazard and would cost thousands. But per the Mayor’s suggestion, we could siphon electricity from the telephone pole outlet. That came with its own challenges. But I remember in Historical photos that I’ve seen of the town that they would hang banners across the street. That’s when knew that the 1950s municipal garland that I saved would be perfect to snake the cord across the street into the other set of buildings. I am thrilled that this worked out!!!
