🚨​ GOOD NEWS: A historic win for seed sovereignty ​✊🏾​🌾​   Kenya just made history. Smallholder farmers have officially won their landmark case and can continue to save, sell, and exchange their own Indigenous seeds. For years, powerful corporations tried to criminalise the very farmers who feed the country. They pushed laws that would have forced people to buy back the life they have cultivated for generations. But fifteen farmers stood firm, and backed by the tireless work of greenpeaceafrica, courageous legal advocates, and civil society allies, they beat the giants. This is an inspiring reminder that people power can protect food systems from corporate capture. Around the world, seed sovereignty is under threat as companies attempt to control what farmers grow, how they grow it, and at what cost.
