What is a raglan sleeve, and why should you care? The visual is going to be more helpful than the definition, but it's a sleeve that's one piece all the way from the collar to the cuff. Here, I address raglan sleeves (common on balmaccans, bombers, sweaters, sweatshirts, and baseball tee shirts), set-in sleeves (the default on any garment with a shoulder), half-raglan sleeves (rare, mostly used for coats that are supposed to look more formal but feel more comfortable), and saddle shoulders (a type of raglan sleeve mostly used on knitwear).
