On Saturday morning, an employee at a Virginia-area liquor store found a raccoon passed out on the bathroom floor at the end of a drunken escapade. An officer at the scene found smashed bottles, a ceiling tile collapsed and alcohol pooled on the floor. “They are funny little critters,” said Samantha Martin, an officer who works at the local animal control. “He fell through one of the ceiling tiles and went on a full-blown rampage, drinking everything.” Martin said she took the raccoon back to the animal shelter, and once he had sobered up, the animal was safely released back to the wild.
