Light in the darkness. December 1, 2021, San Diego County California USA. I saw this photo in my phone gallery yesterday, while I was thinking about the caregivers who were there when no one else was during the first several years of AIDS, when there was so much fear. I wasn't thinking about that when I took the photo on #worldaidsday in 2021. Then, I was just trying to make an interesting photo of the mundane world of my neighborhood. This is an alley that leads to a parking lot. I walk by here all the time, the light is seldom like this.
