When madsgoesyard asked me to pitch today before soccer, I was honestly fired up. • There’s just something about getting the work in on the cold, dark days —the days you really don’t want to — that always stick with me. • Those are the days that push you over the hump when you’re in the pit. And trust me, I’ve lived in that pit more than once, both in sports and in life. The one thing that consistently pulls me out is moving my body and doing hard things. • I loved challenging Mads today — getting her to use her lower half, feel the incline, and keep driving against that front side to create power. It’s crazy… the more she pitches, the more I see little pieces of myself in her — the body, the mechanics, the grit. One day at a time. But this grind with her?
