Sometimes we have special guests stop by the print shop at the Sacramento History Museum and today, December 4th, we have the best guests to visit because it is National Cookie Day! For today, Howard and @Santa Claus 🎅🏻 ✨❄️ l⁠etterpress printed a photo engraving, made in the 1950s, that depicts a hand pulling a cookie out of a jar. The text below, set it 60 point Caslon font, states, “Happy National Cookie Day!” This was printed with red oil base ink using our Washington hand press. At the end of the video, Jeff from ​⁠Elliott Fouts Gallery (@Michelle | Art Gallery Owner) in Midtown Sacramento presented Santa with a ceramic chocolate chip cookie he made.
