A year ago today, we were honoured to be among the 11 grantees of The Slaight Family Foundation’s $30 million gift, fueling partnerships and capacity-building amongst organizations serving people with disabilities in Canada.
As part of this
#NationalDisabilityInitiative, we’re already seeing meaningful change take shape. With Empowered Kids Ontario, we’re setting up brain-computer interface (BCI) clinics across the province, so that more kids can use this life-changing technology. With March of Dimes Canada, we’re spreading and scaling our evidence-based programs, like FIRST Robotics and HB Rocks, to more kids and youth with disabilities. And we’ve joined forces with ODEN to expand the network of employers who hire youth with disabilities graduating from the school-to-work transition model, Project SEARCH.
