I wish I knew this before buying my first batch of filaments for this 3d printer. Because the number 1 reason your prints are failing might be moisture and here’s how to fix it. An inexpensive way to keep filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS or ASA dry is by tossing them into a suction bag with some desiccants. While this isn’t the most effective way, you can get away with a storage system like this for months as long as you do not use them to store polycarbonate filaments. A much better system is to get plastic boxes with tight lids but before actually dumping your filament in them, dry the filaments first. About the microwave, I’d recommend you do not dry your filaments or dessicants in the microwave or oven that you use for food because while PLA might be harmless, some desiccants contain Cobalt Chloride which are really harmful, I pretty much avoid these blue to pink indicating desiccants. #tech #3dprinting #filament #bambulab
