Pingping, the world's longest-lived crested ibis under human care, passed away at the age of nearly 40, according to Beijing Zoo's Weibo post. Pingping was brought from Yangxian, northwest China's Shaanxi Province in 1986. Together with another crested ibis named Qingqing, they produced 27 offspring, laying the foundation for China's first captive population of crested ibises. #ibis #bird #beijing #china
