Today, we’re featuring Jordan Braund, an inspiring athlete, coach, and advocate in the powerlifting community.
Jordan began competing in USAPL as a freshman in high school, attending High School Nationals three out of four years. During the summer between her junior and senior year, a car accident left her a bilateral below-knee amputee, but she refused to let that stop her from lifting. Determined to stay involved, Jordan began coaching high school powerlifting, a role she’s held for nearly six years, and founded SF BARBELL, an adaptive powerlifting team aimed at guiding more athletes into the sport. She also recently became a USAPL national-level referee!
