A sweet potato… growing on a tree? 🍠👀 Seochon is hosting the 2025–2026 Seochon Yarn Bombing Exhibition! Yarn bombing began in 2005 in Texas as a public art project where statues, trees, and other public structures get wrapped in knitted or crocheted pieces. And here’s a fun fact — in fall and winter, you’ll often see trees wrapped in straw or fabric in Korea. It’s because the wrap keeps the tree warm to prevent cold damage, and the warmth also attracts pests, which can later be removed all at once when the wrap is taken off. This time, Seochon is giving that familiar winter scene a much hipper upgrade with yarn bombing 😎 Visitors can scan the QR codes attached to the trees to learn more about each artwork and the artists behind them. The exhibition runs until February 27 next year throughout the Filun-dong area.
