A French mayor has been sentenced to four years in prison for blackmailing a political rival with a secretly filmed s3x tape involving a male s3x worker. Throughout the trial, Gaël Perdriau denied ordering the recording of a video involving his former deputy, Gilles Artigues. But on Monday 1 December, a French court found Perdriau, mayor of Saint-Etienne guilty of blackmail, criminal conspiracy and diverting public funds. The 53-year-old was given four years behind bars – as well as another suspended – and a five-year ban from public office, effective immediately.
